Job summary

The Trade Desk is seeking a Director, Commercial Deals & Pricing to lead the deal desk function, partnering with Sales, Business Development, Finance and leadership to structure and move complex deals to approval while protecting margin. You’ll bring 8+ years in deal desk or commercial operations, expert pricing instinct, and experience with enterprise accounts.

This role requires hands-on modeling, data-driven recommendations, and scalable processes across our global team.

Qualifications

8+ years in deal desk, commercial operations, deal finance, or related function, ideally in SaaS or ad tech.
Strong deal structuring and review experience, including pricing, discounting, incentive structures, and non-standard terms.
Comfort managing multiple live deals with attention to detail and turnaround time.

Responsibilities

Deal-by-deal commercial support: partner with Sales/BD on deal structuring, pricing, packaging, discounts, credits, and non-standard terms.
Deal desk operations & approvals: manage intake, triage, documentation review, and routing to approvers.
Cross-functional coordination: work with Finance/Deal Finance to validate margins and spend, and with Legal on non-standard terms.
Quality, consistency & tooling: ensure complete documentation and refine deal templates, calculators, and reporting tools.
