Job summary

Three Little Bears Day Care LLC in Bridgeport, CT is seeking a passionate Preschool Head Teacher to lead our early childhood classroom and guide a team of educators in a warm, caring environment.

You will plan age-appropriate curricula, mentor assistants, and maintain a safe, nurturing atmosphere that supports social-emotional development while communicating with families about progress and activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of preschool/early childhood classroom experience.
• Strong classroom management and child guidance skills.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate, developmentally-driven curriculum.
• Lead and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides.
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom atmosphere for social-emotional development.
• Conduct ongoing child observations and assessments of milestones.
• Communicate regularly with parents about progress and activities.
• Ensure compliance with CT licensing regulations and daycare safety standards.
• Collaborate with center leadership to support program goals.
