Job summary

FASTer Way in Clearwater, FL seeks a Director of Data & Analytics to own data infrastructure, architecture and reporting end-to-end. Lead data engineering and BI initiatives, partnering with business leaders and engineering teams to deliver reliable insights and data products that drive company performance.

You will set vision and strategy for data collection, structuring, analysis and usage, ensuring scalable, industry-standard practices. Strong leadership and cloud data expertise required.

Qualifications

• Degree in mathematics, computer science, engineering or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 7+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, BI development or data architecture within a modern tech or e-commerce environment, including owning data pipelines, models and BI environments end to end.
• Strong SQL and BI tool skills, including building Lightdash dashboards and semantic models; hands-on GCP and BigQuery experience strongly preferred.
• Data architecture expertise in cloud data architecture, warehouse design, analytical modeling, ELT/ETL, data quality frameworks and integration patterns.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms (Shopify), CRM systems, MarTech ecosystems and customer data platforms such as HubSpot and Hightouch.
• Data storytelling with exceptional communication to non-technical stakeholders.
• Builder mindset: ability to build a function from the ground up, define structure, standards and strategy in a high-growth environment.
• Strong stakeholder partnership and cross-functional alignment skills.

Responsibilities

• Data Strategy & Architecture: Define the enterprise data strategy, architecture and governance framework.
• Data Lifecycle Ownership: Own the end-to-end data lifecycle, including ingestion, transformation, storage, modeling and consumption.
• Source Data Quality: Ensure accurate source data and recommend improvements to source system structures and workflows.
• Reporting & Business Intelligence: Build, maintain and optimize Lightdash models, dashboards and reporting suites; establish a consistent reporting UI/UX.
• KPI & Measurement Frameworks: Define KPIs and reporting structures aligned to strategic priorities.
• Data Engineering & Infrastructure: Build reliable data pipelines using GCP-native tools; monitor data quality and warehouse costs.
• Quality & Documentation: Establish documentation, metric definitions, QA processes and automated data validation.
• AI & Innovation: Identify AI/ML applications and tooling enhancements to improve efficiency and insight quality.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing data engineering and analytics team.
• Vendor Management: Manage outsourced data engineering partners and coordinate with internal teams.
