The role partners with business leaders and cross-functional teams to translate priorities into trusted data outcomes, advancing data governance and strengthening data understanding across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data management, data quality, or governance.
• 3+ years leading teams.
• Strong track record translating business strategy into data outcomes.
• Hands-on experience with data quality practices and tooling.
• Experience leading cross-functional data communities such as data stewardship.
• Knowledge of data governance aligned with regulatory standards.
• Working familiarity with Databricks and cloud data warehouses.

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Data Management & Governance to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will lead the data management and governance agenda across the organization, with a strong focus on improving data quality, stewardship, and metadata practices. The Director will partner closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams to translate strategic priorities into trusted data outcomes that support sound decision-making and regulatory expectations. This is a highly collaborative leadership role that helps strengthen how data is understood, governed, and used across the enterprise.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $190,180 – $262,140 annually

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with business leaders to understand how data is used and identify needs
• Shape a data management agenda aligned with the organization's strategic direction
