Director, Data Governance & Management - (Remote - US)

One of our companies is currently looking for a Director, Data Governance & Management in the United States.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that data within the organization's application and analytics platform is trustworthy, reliable, organized, and effectively managed. As the data "conscience" of the company, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data quality, foster proper data use, and enhance data literacy. Your leadership will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the data that powers key business processes and supports real-time decision-making.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead a team of data owners, solution architects, and analytics experts to establish best practices in data modeling and information management
  • Develop and maintain an enterprise data catalog with metadata, business, and clinical context to support data discoverability and literacy
  • Promote data governance standards to ensure data quality, integrity, security, privacy, and compliance across the organization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and enforce data contracts and data governance frameworks
  • Improve data quality and reliability through monitoring, maintaining accuracy, and collaborating with stakeholders to understand data needs
  • Establish and maintain enterprise-wide data and metric definitions, ensuring adherence to data standards and best practices
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in health informatics, data analytics, or related fields (Master's preferred)
  • 8-10 years of data experience in a health technology or healthcare analytics company, with a focus on improving health outcomes
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with healthcare administrative and clinical data, supporting data-driven decision-making
  • 3+ years of experience in data governance, including cataloging, lineage, quality management, and compliance
  • Proven ability to lead complex data projects in a fast-paced, "scale-up" environment and drive cross-functional collaboration
  • Knowledge of healthcare privacy and security regulations
  • Experience with cloud data solutions and data management/governance tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment on data governance initiatives
