You will own critical commercial datasets, establish governance, and drive analytics that inform launch readiness and market planning. Based in our Pennington, NJ office with hybrid work, you will collaborate with Commercial, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Sales and Finance to convert complex data into strategic business

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8–10 years in pharma/biotech analytics or related fields.
  • Experience with healthcare claims, lab data and commercial datasets.
  • Proven ability to manage cloud data platforms and analytics infra.
  • Strong dashboard, reporting and visualization skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation capabilities.

Role Summary

Zydus Therapeutics is building the data and analytics engine for the anticipated US launch of saroglitazar in Primary Biliary Cholangitis, a new PPAR therapy for a serious rare hepatology indication. There are additional indications that Zydus Therapeutics is exploring for Saroglitazar through its clinical trial program. We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically driven Director, Data & Analytics to serve as the primary steward of the organization’s commercial data ecosystem and analytics capabilities. Reporting to the Executive Director, Data Analytics & Operations, this role will be responsible for owning & managing critical commercial data assets, driving leading edge analytics capabilities, owning the customer master, MDM, data governance council, and managing the supporting data and technology infrastructure that enables strategic decision‑making across the organization.

The Director will lead the design, integration, governance, quality, and optimization of key commercial data sources including Komodo claims data, Quest laboratory data, Veeva Compass Patient Pathways, Veeva CRM, Veeva Network, Veeva Open Data, Definitive Healthcare, media data, omnichannel data, and other third‑party data assets. In partnership with Commercial, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and executive leadership, this individual will convert complex data into actionable business insights that support pre‑launch and launch readiness activities, performance monitoring, patient journey analyses, market evaluation, omnichannel insights/action, and strategic planning for saroglitazar.

This role requires a hands‑on data and analytics leader who thrives in a lean, fast‑paced environment and can effectively bridge business objectives, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, data management, and technology operations.

Responsibilities
Commercial Data Management & Governance
  • Serve as the business owner and subject matter expert for all headquarters commercial data assets.
  • Manage vendor relationships and data acquisition processes for Komodo claims data, Quest laboratory data, Veeva CRM, Network, Open Data, Veeva Compass Patient Pathways, Definitive Healthcare, SalesForce, Omnichannel, and other commercial data sources.
  • Establish and maintain data governance processes and standards to ensure data quality, consistency, integrity, accessibility, and compliance.
  • Develop data standards, business rules, and documentation supporting ZTI enterprise commercial data and analytics ensuring data findability, accessibility, interoperability and re-usability.
  • Own and monitor end to end data and analytics capabilities, including data refresh schedules, data quality metrics, dashboard and reporting readiness and issue resolution activities with internal leaders, stakeholders and vendor partners to deliver accurate and timely insights
Analytics & Business Insights
  • Design and deliver analyses that support brand planning, launch readiness, market assessment, patient identification, patient journey mapping, commercial effectiveness, and performance monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance metrics that provide actionable insights and direction to commercial leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support executive decision‑making and strategic business initiatives.
  • Translate complex data findings into actionable insights, clear business recommendations, and presentations for senior leadership that drive strategic decision‑making.
  • Identify emerging trends, opportunities, risks and critical business signals through proactive analysis of commercial, market and healthcare data.
Data Infrastructure & Technology Management
  • Own and manage the commercial analytics technology ecosystem, including Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt Labs, Veeva Vault CRM/Network/OpenData, SalesForce Marketing Cloud, data aggregators, and other supporting platforms.
  • Partner with internal and external technology teams to ensure reliable data ingestion, integration, transformation, dissemination and data readiness to enable analytics and AI capabilities.
  • Drive and manage ongoing enhancements to the commercial data environment to improve scalability, efficiency, reliability and usability.
  • Ensure appropriate data security, governance, compliance, and business continuity practices are maintained.
  • Evaluate, pilot and implement additional commercial data, analytics, visualization, and AI capabilities to meet evolving organizational needs.
Cross‑Functional Partnership & Strategic Support
  • Partner closely with Commercial, Market Access, Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Finance, and executive leadership to understand analytics requirements and translate business questions into data‑driven solutions.
  • Provide strategic analytics support for forecasting assumptions, patient opportunity assessments, targeting approaches, and launch planning activities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to headquarters stakeholders on the appropriate use and interpretation of commercial healthcare data sources.
  • Support annual planning processes through delivery of market intelligence, patient analytics, and performance measurement frameworks.
  • Represent Data Analytics & Operations in cross‑functional meetings and vendor engagements.
Vendor & Project Management
  • Manage analytical and technology vendors (i.e., systems integrators, agencies, and specialized vendor partners) to ensure service‑level expectations, deliverables, and timelines are met.
  • Participate in contract renewals, vendor evaluations, and technology assessments.
  • Lead cross‑functional data and analytics projects from requirement gathering through implementation and ongoing optimization.
  • Coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously while ensuring high‑quality execution and stakeholder satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required in Business, Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, MPH, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare analytics, commercial operations, business intelligence, or related functions.
  • Demonstrated experience working with healthcare claims, laboratory, patient-level, provider-level, and commercial data sources.
  • Direct experience with one or more of the following data assets strongly preferred: Komodo, Quest, Veeva Compass, Definitive Healthcare, IQVIA, Symphony, or similar healthcare datasets.
  • Experience managing cloud‑based data platforms and analytics infrastructure, including Snowflake and modern data integration tools such as Fivetran.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with demonstrated ability to derive actionable business insights from complex datasets.
  • Experience developing dashboards, reports, and visualization solutions utilizing tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical commercialization, patient journey analytics, market access dynamics, and launch planning.
  • Ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong project management and vendor management capabilities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently in a lean, high‑growth, pre‑commercial or emerging commercial environment.
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement mindset.
Travel Requirements

The position will require domestic travel (up to 20%)
