Job summary

Burns & McDonnell seeks an accomplished leader to head the enterprise Data Engineering & AI delivery organization. You will drive a unified platform strategy across Azure, AWS, GCP, Palantir, and Databricks, delivering secure, scalable data and AI products.

Responsible for governance, standards, and talent development across global teams. You will partner with IT and security to set a shared engineering playbook, drive adoption of common patterns, and measure delivery performance against

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field from an accredited program.
Minimum of 15 years of related professional experience in data engineering, data platforms, integration, analytics engineering, AI/ML engineering, or related hands‑on technology disciplines, with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Data & AI technical organization across geographies and time zones.
Own the technical delivery roadmap and consolidate multiple platforms into one backlogged delivery system.
Define engineering standards and reusable patterns for data ingestion, transformation, analytics, AI/ML, testing, CI/CD, and production support.
Partner with IT, Enterprise Architecture, Security/Privacy on architecture decisions and guardrails.
Build and operate the Burns & McDonnell ontology and enterprise AI brain with governance controls.
