Job summary

Hitachi High-Tech America, Inc. seeks a Director of Customer Solution Engineering in Hillsboro, OR. Hybrid work (onsite 50%, travel 20%). Role leads hardware/design development, strategic planning, and digital services collaboration with HTA SCT and MAD for future technology nodes.

The successful candidate will drive program management, translate customer requirements into actionable roadmaps, and lead an engineering team to deliver concepts through qualification and deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, chemistry, physics, or a related technical field.
• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a relevant technical discipline is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Financial – formal financial qualifications or MBA preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, process development, applications engineering, equipment/process engineering, or related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware and design initiatives across cross-functional teams.
• Communicate technical findings, recommendations, and development plans to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Build relationships with customer and internal engineering teams; ensure customer needs are addressed.
• Develop and mentor engineers in solutions development and customer engagement.
