Job description

New York or Chicago | $160,000–200,000 + Bonus

Capstone Hill Search is partnering with a leading global investment firm on a search for a Director to join its established Issues Management & Corporate Reputation team.

This is a highly strategic in-house role focused on managing complex operational issues and protecting the organization's reputation across a large, consumer-facing portfolio.

Unlike many corporate crisis positions that focus primarily on financial communications, M&A or executive messaging, this role is centered on real-time operational issues requiring sound judgement, cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management.

  • Operational incidents and business continuity issues
  • Property and site-based crises
  • Resident and customer issues within a B2C environment
  • Law enforcement and emergency response coordination
  • Community and local stakeholder issues
  • Litigation-sensitive situations
  • Executive and corporate reputation
  • Crisis preparedness and response

We're particularly interested in speaking with individuals who have advised organisations through complex operational issues within sectors such as:

  • Hospitality
  • Consumer & Retail
  • Infrastructure
  • Transportation
  • Other operationally intensive, customer-facing industries

Candidates may come from either an in-house corporate affairs, issues management or crisis communications function, or from a strategic communications consultancy where they have advised clients through operational crises rather than predominantly transaction-led or financial communications work.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly respected investment organization, working alongside senior business leaders on some of the company's most important reputational and operational challenges.
