Job summary

CarMax Auto Finance in Kennesaw, GA seeks a Director of Credit Risk & Analytics to lead the analytical engine behind auto financing. You will manage originations strategy, improve decisioning, and own P&L while building a world-class analytics team.

The role requires 8–10 years in credit policy or risk management, strong leadership, and hands-on SQL/Python or R experience, with familiarity in ML and modern BI tools. Onsite four days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or related field (Master's preferred).
• 8–10 years of proven credit policy and/or credit risk management experience with leadership.
• Strong conceptual thinking to design and manipulate complex models and data.
• Translate objectives into concrete analysis tasks and lead a team systematically.
• Experience in auto finance or fintech is a plus.
• Hands-on familiarity with SQL, Python or R, and BI tooling (e.g., Snowflake, Tableau).

Responsibilities

• Setting originations strategy across policy, pricing, fraud, and decisioning.
• Evolving originations capabilities into full-spectrum lending via data and analytics.
• Owning P&L by developing forecast models and guiding the business.
• Building and leading a world-class analytical team and mentoring leaders.
• Influencing executive decision-making with data-driven recommendations.
