This role sits at the intersection of creative ideation and execution—guiding projects from early concept and pitch through production, post-production, and delivery.

Working closely with the SVP, Creative Development & Production, executive producers, production and post-production teams, brand partners, talent, and external stakeholders, the Director, Creative Development & Production ensures creative excellence, operational efficiency, and alignment with OBB’s storytelling standards and business objectives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on creative producer with strong development instincts, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Work across digital, branded, film, TV and live event/specials verticals to both ideate and realize projects from concept to delivery.
  • Develop creative concepts, conduct research, manage budgets, and support internal teams including production, post-production, and marketing for existing and new series.
  • Oversee creative production with internal and external executive producers and in collaboration with OBB’s production department.
  • Oversee post-production and editorial on projects, managing post-production calendars, budgets, deliverables, timelines, and giving notes on cuts.
  • Create and pitch new digital/branded and premium concepts for consideration.
  • Respond to creative briefs from brands, then oversee production of go-forward concepts.
  • Identify creators, talent and IP for content development.
  • Build and maintain relationships with partners, brands, talent, creators, crew, and vendors.
  • Work with internal teams as well as external partner’s marketing teams to create project-specific marketing materials and strategize distribution.
  • Liaise with networks, brands and talent during pre-production, production and post, alongside EPs to ensure thorough communication through the life of a project.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience in lieu thereof.
  • 7+ years of producing and development experience (including on-set production experience) spanning branded, network, streamers, etc.
  • Ability to think creatively and flexibly, developing and producing properties in a wide range of formats, tailored to tell the story the best way, and reach the audience where they are. Ability to recognize if a brief or storytelling opportunity is best suited for a film, series, digital format, live event, or otherwise, and develop accordingly.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment while delivering outstanding results.
  • Exceptional project management, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Technical proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer is a plus.
