Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Producer/Editor to join an internal production team. The Producer/Editor will be responsible for overseeing the ideation, writing, production, and post-production of a variety of multimedia projects, including short-form content, podcasts, social video, and other video and audio materials as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background working in a fast-paced, high-quality production environment, with the ability to quickly bring ideas to life through compelling storytelling and engaging visuals. Strong attention to detail is essential.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Produces and edits internal short-form content, external marketing vignettes, and social video with strong attention to detail
• Oversees the ideation, writing, and production of short-form content, podcasts, and other multimedia projects
• Compiles suggestions from stakeholders and management for potential future video content
• Writes thoughtful interview questions that draw out compelling answers
• Engages with executives and other stakeholders during on-camera interviews, making them comfortable and helping them share their most compelling thoughts
• Reacts quickly and professionally to revisions, new concepts, and last-minute ideas
• Serves as a primary executor of pacing, flow, and storytelling across all video content
• Ensures all content is edited to the most effective length
• Provides color correction, basic audio mixing, music mixing, and sound effects for video content
• Oversees the review and feedback process and manages revisions through final distribution
• Ensures brand standards, messaging, and organizational culture are properly represented across all content
• Provides multiple creative solutions for executive and stakeholder needs, strategically aligned with organizational goals
• Remains aware of new trends in video production and incorporates relevant techniques and formats into content
• Archives video content, including raw footage and completed projects
• Responds positively and professionally to stakeholder and management feedback
• Ability to travel, including on short notice, when needed

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Film Production, Media Studies, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 3–5 years of experience as a Producer/Editor, with a strong portfolio of video and multimedia projects
• Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
• Familiarity with motion graphics software such as Adobe After Effects or Cinema 4D is a plus
• Excellent storytelling skills and the ability to create compelling narratives through editing techniques
• Strong attention to detail, with a keen eye for aesthetics, composition, and visual consistency
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well within a team environment
• A creative mindset with a passion for visual storytelling and staying current with industry trends
• Experience in a fast-paced or breaking-news environment is helpful
• Proficient with AI-assisted editing tools, such as Premiere's text-based editing, Enhance Speech, and Auto Reframe, as well as Descript or similar platforms, to streamline logging, transcription, and rough cuts is a plus
• Skilled with AI-powered production tools, including AI music and sound libraries and generative editing features, is a plus
