OVERVIEW:

The Senior Director, Production leads production execution across OBB's full portfolio, including Bolded and Fanatics Studios, from early client engagement through final delivery. This role owns the operational side of production: budgets, scheduling, and vendor and crew management. It also carries the strategic and people leadership needed to scale the function, including building a high-performing production team, shaping resourcing and staffing strategy, and serving as a trusted partner to Creative Development, Social, Finance, Post-Production, and Brand Partnership teams.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the end-to-end production process (including bidding, budget updating, scheduling, coordinating with vendors, talent and crews) through final delivery and cost reconciliation.
  • Responsible for high volume day-to-day production tasks including scheduling, logistics, travel and staff coordination.
  • Collaborate closely with our creative, marketing and social media teams to develop innovative concepts and strategies for branded content and commercial productions.
  • Lead, mentor and develop Production team of setting priorities, conducting performance reviews and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Own resource planning and staffing strategy across concurrent productions, balancing internal team capacity against freelance/vendor needs.
  • Help implement and enforce systems and processes for management of paperwork for crew, vendors, locations, COIs, etc.
  • Coordinate with production accounting to ensure cost reports are up-to-date at all times and payments are made in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure seamless execution of branded content and commercial shoots, overseeing freelance teams, logistics, equipment, and on-set operations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or feedback.
  • Optimize post-production workflows, working closely with post team, editors and vendors to deliver polished, impactful content.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve our branded content and commercial offerings.
  • Build a freelance roster, identify and hire supplemental freelancers on productions based upon budget and specific needs per project.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts, rental pricing, and staffing rates.
  • Maintain organized records, cost reports and backup materials for each project.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 7+ years relevant experience working in a commercial production environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a film related field such as film production, film direction, communications, media studies, business studies or related field, strongly preferred.
  • Hyper-focused, detail-oriented individual with a successful track record of strategically running productions seamlessly, anticipating needs, maintaining smooth workflows and proactively solving problems for demands that arise.
  • Results-oriented problem solver with the ability to adapt to fast-paced changes and issues that arise.
  • Flawless organizational, mathematic and analytical skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a calm, professional and supportive disposition.
  • Budget, hiring and vendor management experience required.
  • Proven ability to take direction, adjust to rapid changes and provide thoughtful on the spot problem solving while maintaining a positive and collaborative demeanor.
  • Entrepreneurial, driven, client-centric self-starter with a sincere "no task too small, can do" attitude.
  • Ability to work with confidential information, use good judgment, and function with the utmost levels of discretion.
  • Comprehensive understanding of commercial and branded content set work, best practices and industry trends.
  • Extensive knowledge of industry players including executives, line producers, production supervisors, production coordinators, assistants and production assistants.
  • Proficiency with Google Drive, Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OneDrive) and Showbiz Budgeting required. Proficiency in Movie Magic budgeting a plus.
WORK REQUIREMENT:
  • Must be able to stand, sit, walk up and down stairs.
  • Must be able to work in a seated position for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to use fingers, hands and arms at computer keyboard for long periods of time.
  • Must have ability to speak clearly and distinctly, and hear and be heard and understood in person and by telephone.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, walk up and down stairs and frequently lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Must be able to visually and physically inspect areas of the work site.
  • Must be able to able to work in a standing and/or walking position for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to drive, have reliable transportation, a valid license and valid insurance (mileage is reimbursable).
  • Frequent travel is required for this role. Must be able to travel by car and airplane.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

This is an exempt on-site role expected to work Monday through Friday and have flexible availability after hours and on weekends as needed. Hiring range for this position in New York is $175,000 to $190,000 annually. This position is eligible for a full range of medical, dental, vision and 401(k) benefits. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the final candidate's, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. This position is eligible for a full range of medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits. Additional financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered, may apply.
