Job summary

The Doctors Company is seeking a Director Corporate Technology Training to join our team in a hybrid role based out of East Lansing or New York, or another TDC Group and ProAssurance office.

You will lead IT training design, delivery and program development across our organization, collaborating with BRM and other departments to improve productivity and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

  • PMP or project management certification preferred.
  • 5-10 years experience in IT training, business systems support, project coordination, business analysis, or a related role.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and execution of IT training initiatives.
  • Research and suggest improvements to IT training materials.
  • Provide IT training consultation and develop IT training programs.
  • Identify areas where technology can improve productivity with BRM departments.
  • Manage and prioritize assigned projects and department tasks.
  • Track system updates and coordinate with business, developers and PM.
  • Estimate tasks, track progress, and report status.
  • Model company values and communicate them to the team.
  • Assist with application problem analysis and evaluating proposals.
  • Maintain policy compliance and timely performance and development activities.
  • Keep skills current and fulfill mandatory training requirements.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on project status and outcomes.
  • Be flexible to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Job description

The Doctors Company is currently seeking a Director Corporate Technology Training to join our team. This is a hybrid position ideally based out of our East Lansing or New York office, or another TDC Group and ProAssurance office.

Qualifications
  • PMP or project management certification preferred
  • 5-10 years experience in IT training, business systems support, project coordination, business analysis, or a related role
Training Design & Execution
  • Support the design and execution of IT training initiatives.
  • Research and suggest improvements to current IT training and visual materials.
  • Provide IT training consultation, develop IT training programs and provide training directly to employees.
  • Work with assigned BRM departments to identify areas where technology can be applied to increase productivity.
Project Management / Task Management
  • Manage and prioritizes assigned project and department related functions and tasks.
  • Tracks system feature/function updates as assigned; coordinating with business, developers, Project Manager and others as appropriate.
  • Estimate tasks required for business requirements or quality assurance, track progress against estimates, and report status.
  • Maximizes performance while upholding and encouraging behaviors consistent with company’s mission and values.
  • Communicates company values, beliefs and norms to team members on an ongoing basis.
  • Serves as a role model for company values.
  • Assists with application problem analysis, technical solutions/alternatives, evaluating design proposals, and reviewing program code.
Learning, Development, & Compliance
  • Maintain full compliance with all organizational policies, procedures, and established standards (e.g. accurately recording time worked, Submitting PTO, mandatory corporate training)
  • Keep technical knowledge and skills current to effectively support department priorities.
  • Complete all performance and development activities including the performance review process in a timely manner.
  • Fulfill all required training and development obligations to maintain essential skills and credentials.
  • Complete all mandatory compliance courses on time, meeting corporate training standards.
  • Pursue additional learning opportunities that strengthen professional capabilities and contribute to team and organizational performance, with prior manager approval.
Other Duties as Assigned
  • Support enterprise and departmental objectives by taking on assigned projects and delegated tasks with accountability, attention to detail, and timely execution.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance business efficiency and strengthen organizational effectiveness.
  • Proactively provide regular updates to leadership on project status, deliverables, and outcomes.
  • Maintain flexibility and agility to take on additional responsibilities as organizational needs evolve.
Salary Range

$131,102 - $172,072

  • This position is eligible for participation in the Company's Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP), offering additional compensation driven by individual and company performance.
  • Compensation is determined based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and market considerations. We consider factors such as specialized skills, depth of knowledge in the field, and educational background to ensure fair and competitive pay. Salary may also include additional geographic differential for employees working in higher-cost labor markets, including states such as New York and California. While the posted range reflects our anticipated hiring range, we remain open to considering candidates with exceptional qualifications, specialized expertise, or directly relevant experience that may warrant compensation outside of that range.
