Southwire Company, LLC is seeking a Director of Technology Ventures to lead its corporate venture capital organization and spur innovation-driven growth through strategic investments and partnerships.

The role requires identifying disruptive tech, evaluating opportunities, and building relationships with startups, venture funds, and industry leaders to align investments with Southwire's long-term technology and portfolio strategy.

Qualifications

• Progressive leadership experience in venture capital, corporate venture capital, innovation, or related fields.
• Demonstrated track record evaluating and executing strategic investments in VC or CVC.
• Experience collaborating with executive leadership and board-level stakeholders.
• Experience building partnerships across startups, research institutions, and industry organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Southwire's corporate venture capital strategy and investment portfolio.
• Source, evaluate, and execute investments in high-potential startups.
• Present investment recommendations to executive leadership and governance committees.
• Identify emerging technologies and market trends affecting power, electrification, and energy infrastructure.
• Build strategic partnerships and pilot opportunities between Southwire and portfolio companies.
• Drive strategic and financial returns by supporting portfolio growth and market expansion.
