Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Market Access Leader to drive payer strategy and access planning across national and regional accounts in the U.S. This role will lead negotiations, develop value dossiers, and coordinate with HEOR, medical affairs, and regulatory teams to optimize formulary access.

A minimum of 10 years in biotech/pharma Market Access with leadership experience and extensive travel is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years biotech/pharma Market Access with leadership in account/sales management; >50% travel; experience integrating HEOR and medical affairs into access planning; lead pull-through with sales leadership.
  • Strong payer/PBM understanding (Commercial and Managed Medicaid).
  • Excellent negotiation skills and contract strategy awareness; CRM account profile maintenance; contract development/negotiation and financial/legal influences.
  • In-depth knowledge of national account specialty outpatient access.

Responsibilities

  • Lead DBV relationship and B2B engagement with assigned accounts.
  • Identify competitive threats and develop response strategies for product access.
  • Develop and own account-level national/regional payer plans including formulary strategy, coverage objectives, and contracting priorities.
  • Establish executive-level relationships with medical directors and formulary decision-makers.
  • Lead payer negotiations and contracting discussions with Market Access team.
  • Communicate value to payer audiences using HEOR data and real-world evidence.
  • Develop and deliver tailored account value dossiers and budget impact models with HEOR and medical affairs.
  • Anticipate payer policy questions and potential barriers prior to launch.
  • Coordinate with patient services and hub operations to align reimbursement pathways with payer decisions.
  • Contribute to payer-facing materials and market access tools with marketing and regulatory.
  • Establish KPIs to monitor progress and opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Regional Account Manager(s) and sales leadership on reimbursement issues.
  • Provide payer voice internally (competitive intelligence, formulary updates, account feedback).
  • Represent market access in account-level business reviews and brand planning.

Key Responsibilities
