Job summary

Korn Ferry has partnered with our client for the role of Director, Corporate Development in Marietta, GA. The director will lead the company’s inorganic growth strategy through mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, and other corporate development initiatives.

Reporting to executive leadership, this role partners with operations, finance, legal, and business unit leaders to identify, evaluate, execute, and integrate strategic transactions aligned with enterprise growth priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field required.
• MBA and/or CFA preferred.
• 7–12+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or related fields.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, analytical, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and source acquisition targets aligned with strategic priorities.
• Develop relationships with owners, bankers, sponsors, and advisors.
• Lead transaction execution from assessment through closing, including negotiations.
• Build financial models including DCFs, comparables, accretion/dilution, and sensitivity analyses.
• Prepare memoranda and board materials; coordinate due diligence workstreams.
• Negotiate LOIs, purchase agreements, and financing documents.
• Support post-close integration planning and synergy tracking.
• Monitor industry trends and competitive activity for opportunities and risks.
• Maintain pipelines, dashboards, and executive updates on acquisition activity.
