Job summary

Cohere, a global security‑first enterprise AI company, is seeking a Director of Corporate Communications to own Cohere’s global narrative and lead a high‑performing team across corporate, executive, policy, internal, crisis, and enterprise communications.

You will partner with C‑Suite leaders, shape messaging for governments and enterprises in regulated industries, and build a scalable communications function that supports growth and partnerships.

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of in‑house corporate communications experience, ideally in fast‑paced tech/AI environments.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• Scrappy, proactive problem solver with a bias for action.
• Experience with pre‑IPO communications.
• Experience in policy and regulatory communications.
• Exceptional writing and ability to distill complex topics into clear narratives.
• Trusted advisor to senior leaders and HR teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a team across Corporate Communications functions.
• Develop and implement global corporate communications strategies.
• Partner with executives to craft messaging that supports business priorities and market positioning.
• Develop and execute rapid response capabilities for crises.
• Oversee executive speaking engagements, industry conferences, and events.
• Lead AI integration for the communications team to enhance content ideation and scaling.
• Manage the corporate communications channel ecosystem (earned, owned, executive, employee comms).
• Drive cross‑functional storytelling aligning daily work with Cohere’s mission and customer success.
