Job summary

Parts Town is seeking a Director of Corporate Accounting to lead the corporate accounting function, oversee monthly, quarterly and annual close, and ensure accurate financial reporting in a fast-growing multi-entity environment.

You will work with FP&A, Tax and Internal Audit, while driving internal controls and continuous improvement across accounting processes. A CPA and a strong leadership mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience and leadership of teams
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, consolidated financial reporting and internal controls
• Experience in a multi-entity organization; global accounting a plus
• Experience supporting SOX implementation or SOX compliance
• Experience working with external auditors and managing audit deliverables
• Public accounting experience and experience in a large, fast-growing or private equity-backed company is preferred
• Hands-on leadership with attention to detail and clear communication of complex accounting matters
• Ability to adapt in an evolving business environment

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate accounting operations and coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual close activities across the organization
• Oversee general ledger integrity, consolidations, intercompany accounting, account reconciliations and close review procedures
• Ensure financial results and supporting schedules are accurate, complete, consistent and delivered on time
• Review complex accounting areas including equity, leases, revenue recognition, foreign currency, acquisitions and impairments
• Establish documentation, review standards and escalation paths for accounting judgments and close issues
• Assist in the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements, management reporting and lender reporting schedules
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits, interim reviews and audit planning
• Own audit request management and help resolve accounting and control matters promptly
• Prepare and review reporting support for executive leadership and other stakeholders
• Maintain and improve internal controls over financial reporting; support SOX-ready control environment
