Job summary

Concentra, the nation’s leading occupational health care company, seeks a Director of Corporate Accounting in Addison, TX to lead accounting, reporting, budgeting, and policy development for corporate functions.

You will oversee ASC 842 leases, debt, derivatives, stock compensation, and equity transactions, while driving internal controls and process improvements. CPA required with 7+ years of experience, Big 4 a plus, and experience with Oracle/Hyperion preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university.
  • Active CPA license required.
  • 7+ years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Big 4 public accounting experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, and AMT/MRI Lease software strongly preferred.
  • System implementation experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead accounting and reporting for fixed assets, leases (ASC 842), debt, self-insurance, cash, IT fixed assets, derivatives, stock compensation, and various equity transactions.
  • Oversee journal entries and account reconciliations ensuring GAAP compliance.
  • Own the corporate departments review.
  • Analyze technical accounting guidance to complex transactions including leases, debt, and equity.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and trend analysis to minimize program risk.
  • Prepare routine and ad hoc financial analyses for executive leadership.
  • Develop, document, test, and improve SOPs and processes.
  • Evaluate internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Support updates to accounting policies and procedures as needed.
  • Implement automation and process efficiencies.
  • Manage, coach, and develop Corporate Accounting team members.
  • Handle sensitive incentive data with confidentiality.

The Director of Corporate Accounting leads the accounting and financial reporting for corporate and support functions. This role oversees month-end reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for corporate departments, maintains strong internal controls, and drives continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree Major: Accounting or Finance Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
  • Education Details: Certifications and/or Licenses: Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required
  • Customarily has at least 7 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or relevant experience in a related role. Experience should include increased levels of responsibility.
  • Prior experience in Big 4 public accounting is a plus.
  • Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, and AMT/MRI Lease software strongly preferred.
  • System implementation experience is strongly preferred.
