Job summary

Shake Shack Enterprises, LLC is seeking a Director of Core Digital Platforms to define, operate, and scale our foundational digital platforms including Shack Stack, Operator App, Kiosk, AI Platform and related APIs. You will report to the VP Digital Technology & AI Engineering and own platform reliability, security, and scale for 1,500+ Shacks.

Lead a team of Technical Platform Managers, partner with Product and Restaurant Tech, manage vendor relations (Okta, JTech/Sinch, Square, FreedomPay,

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading mission-critical platforms in high-scale environments.
• Strong acumen in microservices, APIs, identity, payments, fraud, and AWS.
• Proven success in vendor partnerships and roadmaps.
• Proven ability to hire, coach, and grow teams.
• Ability to communicate with executives and lead change at scale.

Responsibilities

• Set and communicate the vision for core digital platforms and align roadmaps to growth.
• Lead and mentor Technical Platform Managers for Shack Stack, Payments, OMS, Kiosk, Fraud, Identity, and Observability.
• Serve as the architecture owner ensuring reliability and seamless API integration.
• Manage vendor relationships (Okta, Square, FreedomPay, Kount) with measurable outcomes.
• Define reliability standards, uptime SLAs, MTTR, and observability frameworks.
• Collaborate with Product, Digital Engineering, and AI teams to enable new capabilities.
