Job summary

Mercury Systems seeks a Director, Contracts to lead a focused contracts team and oversee management across commercial and government programs. You will guide strategy, risk mitigation, and alignment with business objectives while partnering with BD and PM teams to protect the company’s interests.

The role requires leadership, deep knowledge of FAR/DFARS, and the ability to navigate complex negotiations in a fast-paced, multi-program environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and ideally 10+ years of experience in contracts or related fields.
• Experience navigating government/defense contracting environments.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a contracts team.

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities of contract professionals including complex arrangements of strategic importance.
• Mentor, train and develop a diverse contracts team.
• Guide contract formation, negotiation and administration policies to meet customer expectations.
• Drive strategic contract opportunities with significant business impact.
• Understand financial implications, risks and profit and loss considerations.
• Lead complex negotiations and represent the company to customers and government agencies.
• Review and approve contractual documents ensuring risk mitigation and policy adherence.
