The Director of Construction Controls & Oversight monitors and oversees weekend capital construction activity primarily on the NYC Transit (NYCT) system. This includes ensuring the effective deployment of construction flaggers, work trains, and track access (“General Orders”) across a wide portfolio of projects; ensuring construction activity is occurring in a safe manner and in compliance with MTA C&D and NYCT procedures; and escalating issues to senior leadership as needed. The role is responsible for documenting and directing real‑time weekend operational oversight, emergency response coordination, resource planning, field support, and reporting. The Director plays a critical role in ensuring track access readiness, operational consistency, and process improvements that enhance construction productivity.
Provide weekend operational support, safety & security assurance, and construction compliance oversight, coordinating in real time with C&D and NYCT to ensure safe, efficient execution and adherence to planned service changes.
