Alliance Resource Group seeks a Director of Construction Accounting to lead the department and partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives. This role oversees budgeting, cost reporting, cash flow, and internal controls, ensuring accurate financials across multiple projects in a rapid growth environment.

The position requires deep expertise in construction accounting, US GAAP, and robust Excel skills, with 10–15 years of relevant experience including 5+ years in management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; Advanced degree/CPA preferred.
• 10–15 years of construction accounting experience including 5+ years in management.
• CPA and public accounting experience a plus.
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Required understanding of US GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction accounting department including Accounting Manager, Senior Accountants, billing, and AP.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting (monthly internal and quarterly external).
• Own project budgeting process and analyze actual vs budget.
• Maintain financial projections for revenue and operating expenses.
• Manage treasury activities and cash flow.
• Oversee WIP tracking and reporting.
• Collaborate with project management on cost reporting and cash flow projections.
• Develop and enforce internal controls and accounting policies.
• Partner with Operations to drive strategic initiatives.
