Job summary

Freddie Mac in McLean, VA is seeking a Compliance Operations Director to work with Single-Family Acquisitions leaders to remediate significant issues and strengthen controls.

You will partner with division management to oversee the Fair Lending governance, manage internal and third-party oversight of the compliance program, and ensure timely adoption of new requirements while communicating progress to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 12 years related experience and 4 years management experience.
• Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent.
• Relevant compliance operations related functional experience in mortgage servicing.
• Significant experience in the Fair Lending subset of Compliance.
• Strong team management and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of knowledgeable and motivated risk management professionals.
• Communicate issue status/progress effectively to senior management.
• Act as a key contributor toward building out a Fair Lending risk management operation and organization.
• Establish and manage a Fair Lending Governance process for the entire SF Division.
• Be responsible for all internal and 3rd party oversight of compliance program effectiveness.
• Ensure new compliance requirements are accurately and timely implemented.
• Maintain an effective relationship with Enterprise Compliance team.
