Ladders is partnering with a leading Pharmaceuticals & Biotech organization to hire a Director, Compensation in Boston. This senior role shapes a broad-based compensation strategy across functions and levels, partnering with senior leaders to design market-competitive programs and guide planning.

Responsibilities include executive compensation support, governance-aligned committee deliverables, and scalable frameworks to attract and retain top talent in a high-growth environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive compensation experience in biotech, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences.
  • Strong hands-on experience with compensation strategy in high-growth environments.
  • Expert knowledge of broad-based compensation for non-executive roles, including VP level and below.
  • Deep knowledge of market-pricing methodologies, especially in life sciences compensation data.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Compensation to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space.

This role will shape and execute a broad-based compensation strategy that supports a growing organization across multiple functions and levels. You will partner closely with senior leaders and HR business partners to deliver market-competitive programs, guide compensation planning, and strengthen pay practices that help attract and retain talent. The position also supports executive compensation activities and works with governance stakeholders on committee deliverables.

Location: Boston, MA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $230,000 - $250,000 annually
