Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Public Administration, Social Services, or closely related field is required.
• Seven (7) years' experience in a leadership/management role within public administration or community services.
• Knowledge of grant writing/administration, budgeting methodologies, and strong analytical skills.
• Experience with grant programs (CDBG, HOME, SHIP, CSBG, ESG, SPC, LIHEAP) and community development.
• Knowledge of community development, public health, housing, homelessness, and socio-economic issues affecting disadvantaged populations.

Aufgaben

• Directs and coordinates programs within divisions/sections of Community Assistance, Community Health, Housing Development, Veteran Services, Compliance, and Accounting.
• Directs and coordinates the strategies, activities, and personnel of the Community Services Department.
• Develops, recommends, and implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and internal policies.
• Provides leadership for program development, service delivery, and partnership building to improve residents' quality of life.
• Prepares and presents the Department's annual budget and identifies funding sources.
• Acts as liaison to boards and councils and performs other duties as assigned.
