Job summary

National MS Society seeks a Director of Community Events to lead fundraising efforts across Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. You will drive revenue through corporate partnerships, donor engagement, and event leadership, including Walk MS events in multiple cities.

The role requires 4+ years in nonprofit fundraising, strong leadership, and CRM proficiency. You will manage volunteers, oversee event production, and collaborate with regional teams to advance the Society’s mission.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive experience in fundraising, donor relations, or nonprofit development.
• Demonstrated success in managing donor pipelines and multi-channel fundraising campaigns.
• Strong leadership and project management skills, with experience supervising staff or volunteers.
• Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce) and data analysis to inform strategy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage donors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth and meet campaign fundraising goals through strategic engagement of top fundraisers, teams, sponsors, and donors.
• Serve as the market’s lead fundraiser for assigned campaigns, boosting participation and sponsorship totals.
• Customize and implement national strategies to fit local context, aligning with regional objectives.
• Partner with the AVP to report pacing, surface risks, and adjust execution to achieve goals.
• Foster cross-team alignment and support peer fundraisers in execution.
• Use CRM dashboards to inform decisions, track performance, and continuously improve tactics.
