The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene seeks a Health Services Manager Non MA (55a) to lead community engagement and capacity-building across Queens and surrounding neighborhoods. This role focuses on strengthening relationships with community partners, guiding program development, and advancing chronic disease prevention initiatives.

Based in Queens with initial duties in Long Island City, the position requires coordinating with the Assistant Commissioner and Program

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years in health services or public health settings with 18 months in a managerial capacity.
• Experience coordinating community engagement, grants, and program planning is preferred.
• Ability to lead multiple projects, manage budgets, and present data to diverse audiences.

Responsabilités

• Lead community engagement strategies and capacity-building initiatives in Queens.
• Coordinate internal and external initiatives with community partners and boards.
• Develop budgets, manage grants, and monitor performance with funders.
• Present public health data and research to inform policy decisions.
• Supervise a team of outreach staff and coordinate events and trainings.
