Job summary

Lakeland Community College is seeking a full-time Director for Community and Adult Education in Willoughby, OH. Reporting to the Executive Director of Workforce Development and Employer Relations, the role manages programs, staff, and budget to advance community education initiatives.

Responsibilities include program development, community outreach, enrollment monitoring, and coordination with college departments. The salary range is $70,000–$80,000 with no remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred for advancement.
• Experience in program development, administration, and community programming.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; able to manage multiple programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, coordinate, and administer educational and community programs and events.
• Identify community needs and develop new programs to meet them.
• Oversee ViewBook development and publishing with college partners.
• Manage program registrations using ACEware with IT support.
• Recruit, hire, orient, train, schedule, mentor, and evaluate staff and instructors.
• Lead regular staff meetings for communication and improvement.
• Develop and manage the department budget and monitor expenditures.
• Recommend instructional materials and resources as needed.
• Build relationships with college leadership, partners, and external stakeholders.
• Promote programs through outreach, partnerships, and marketing.
• Monitor enrollment, revenue, participation, and satisfaction.
• Ensure programs comply with policies and applicable regulations.
• Identify opportunities to expand programming and revenue.
• Represent Lakeland at community events; serve as an ambassador.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
