Job summary

Citrin Cooperman seeks a Commercial Tax Services Director in the Tax Department. You will review tax returns, workpapers, and projections, and provide planning, consulting and compliance for a client base.

Lead tax research, oversee engagements, mentor staff, and collaborate with partners to ensure timely project delivery. The role requires a CPA or equivalent, a Bachelor’s in Accounting with 10+ years in public accounting, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s in taxation preferred; CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive public accounting experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of managing multiple client engagements.
• Knowledge of tax issues and business trends affecting clients.

Responsibilities

• Review of tax returns, tax workpapers and tax projections.
• Provide effective consulting, planning and compliance for your clients.
• Perform tax research to resolve issues.
• Oversee day-to-day needs of client engagements and tax return processes.
• Coordinate with partner to ensure timely planning and communication.
• Coaching, mentoring, and training staff.
• Support business development and expand client base.
