Job summary

Citrin Cooperman seeks a Commercial Tax Services Director to lead tax engagements, review returns and workpapers, and provide advisory services to a diverse client base. You will mentor staff, manage multiple engagements, and drive business development within the Tax Department.

Ideal candidates bring deep expertise in partnerships, C‑corps, and S‑corps, with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to client service. CPA preferred and experience with tax research is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Master’s in taxation preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive public accounting experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of managing multiple client engagements.
• Track record of building and sustaining client relationships and high-quality client service.
• Outstanding analytical, organizational and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review tax returns, workpapers and projections.
• Provide consulting, planning and compliance for clients.
• Perform tax research to resolve issues.
• Oversee day-to-day client needs and tax return process.
• Coordinate with partners for timely planning and communication.
• Coach, mentor, and train staff.
• Maintain knowledge of new tax issues and business trends.
