Job description

Cerenome (Nasdaq: CNSY) is a clinical-stage central nervous system (CNS) oncology company focused on transforming how rare and severe brain and spinal cancers are diagnosed, monitored and treated. Our work brings together advanced diagnostics, targeted radiotherapeutics and data analytics to address some of the most difficult challenges in neuro-oncology. Our portfolio includes CNSide®, our proprietary cerebrospinal fluid-based diagnostic platform, and REYOBIQ™, our investigational radiotherapeutic currently in clinical development.

We are a growing company, which means many of the systems, capabilities and ways of working that will support our next stage are being built now. We see that as an opportunity—and we're looking for people who do, too.

The Role

Cerenome is looking for a Director, Commercial Sales Training & Enablement to build the learning and enablement foundation required for our growing commercial organization. As we expand our field team, this role will help ensure our people enter the field prepared to represent Cerenome, our science and our solutions consistently and effectively.

This is not a role where you'll inherit an established training curriculum and simply deliver it. You'll work closely with our Vice President of Commercial Sales and partners across Marketing, Medical/Scientific and other functions to build much of our commercial training and enablement approach from the ground up—starting with new-hire onboarding, field readiness and the curriculum and tools our commercial team needs to succeed.

We're looking for someone who understands sales because you've been close to it—and who also knows how to build the systems that make salespeople better. You'll need to be comfortable developing the strategy, creating the content and tools, facilitating learning, coaching in the field and continuously improving the approach as the organization grows.

Key Priorities

Build our commercial onboarding and field-readiness model. Create a structured onboarding experience that prepares new commercial hires to enter the field with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need. Establish practical readiness expectations, assessments and phased development beyond initial onboarding.

Build the commercial curriculum and playbook. Translate Cerenome's science, technology, customer journey, commercial processes and selling approach into practical learning experiences and field tools. Develop resources that support product and clinical knowledge, customer engagement, account planning, objection handling and effective field execution.

Create consistency in how we show up with customers. Partner closely with Commercial Leadership, Marketing, Medical/Scientific and other stakeholders to ensure the field understands and consistently communicates Cerenome's approved messaging, clinical information, value proposition and competitive differentiation.

Develop capability beyond initial onboarding. Establish ongoing coaching, reinforcement and development practices that strengthen field execution over time. Use field observation, leadership feedback and business needs to identify capability gaps and provide targeted support.

Measure readiness and effectiveness. Develop practical measures of new-hire readiness, time-to-productivity, knowledge retention, field adoption and training effectiveness. Partner with Sales Operations and Commercial Leadership to connect training and capability development with relevant commercial performance indicators.

Help build a function that can scale. Establish the tools, processes, content governance and learning infrastructure needed to support a growing commercial organization. As the business expands, help determine how the enablement model—and eventually the team supporting it—should evolve.

Experience & Capabilities

We're looking for someone with significant experience in commercial sales training, sales enablement, commercial capability development or a closely related discipline, ideally gained within diagnostics, biopharma, laboratory services, life sciences, healthcare or another complex commercial environment.

Just as importantly, we're looking for someone who understands the realities of selling and has evidence of building, not simply delivering, commercial training and enablement programs.

That includes:

  • Experience personally designing or substantially building sales onboarding, training, enablement or field-readiness programs.
  • Meaningful sales or customer-facing commercial experience and a strong understanding of how field teams operate.
  • The ability to translate complex scientific, clinical or technical information into clear, practical and commercially useful learning.
  • Experience developing sales curricula, playbooks, training resources, readiness assessments and ongoing reinforcement programs.
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills, with the credibility to work effectively with both new hires and experienced commercial professionals.
  • Experience partnering with Marketing, Medical/Scientific, Sales Operations and Commercial Leadership to create consistent field messaging and execution.
  • The ability to use field feedback, performance information and other data to identify capability gaps and improve training effectiveness.
  • Comfort operating at both strategic and tactical levels. At this stage of our growth, you'll often be the person designing the approach and helping build and deliver it.
  • Strong judgment and communication skills, including the ability to make complex information understandable without losing its accuracy or meaning.

A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is expected.

Additional Experience We Value

Experience in oncology, molecular diagnostics, precision medicine, laboratory services or another scientifically complex healthcare environment would be particularly relevant to our work.

We'd also value experience supporting the commercialization or launch of a new product or emerging technology; building sales training or enablement capabilities during significant organizational growth; working with structured sales methodologies; using CRM, learning management or sales enablement platforms; and developing training for field organizations operating across large geographic territories.

Experience coaching sales leaders or building broader commercial capability programs can also be valuable as the organization grows, but we're particularly interested in what you've personally built and delivered.

Reports to: Vice President, Commercial Sales

Location: Remote or Hybrid

Travel: Approximately 25–30%, based on business needs
