Job summary

Hoxton Circle seeks a Director, Commercial Finance in New York to support the Group Director of Commercial Finance. This high visibility role sits at the intersection of client finance and commercial strategy, collaborating with senior stakeholders and international clients.

The role leads pricing, forecasting, and reporting, manages the P&L and contractual compliance across global engagements. It is a 3-days-on-site hybrid position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business.
• Experience in a commercially driven finance or accounting environment.
• Able to interrogate and validate financial data and explain it to non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead client commercial conversations, including contract management, pricing, reporting.
• Manage the P&L, including monthly forecasting, actuals reconciliation, cost approvals, staffing costs, intercompany transfers, and accruals.
• Oversee external client reporting to ensure contractual compliance.
• Manage the fees file to track signed projects against budget and flag staffing gaps.
• Ensure contractual compliance across financial obligations for international clients, working with auditors and procurement teams.

A leading global media and marketing services organization is looking for a Director, Commercial Finance to support their Group Director of Commercial Finance. This is a high visibility role sitting at the intersection of client finance and commercial strategy, working closely with senior stakeholders across the business and with major international clients.

Please note this role operates 3 days a week onsite.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading client commercial conversations including contract management, pricing, reporting, and ad hoc financial needs
• Managing the P&L, including monthly forecasting, actuals reconciliation, cost approvals, staffing costs, intercompany transfers, and accruals
• Overseeing external client reporting to ensure ongoing contractual compliance
• Managing the fees file to track signed projects against budget and proactively flag staffing gaps
• Ensuring contractual compliance across financial obligations for international clients, working with internal and external auditors as well as client procurement teams

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business
• Solid finance or accounting experience gained in a commercially driven environment.
• You're naturally curious, comfortable interrogating and validating financial data, and confident explaining financial information to non-financial stakeholders. You manage competing deadlines well, work cross functionally with ease, and bring strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger commercial picture. You're a self-starter who takes initiative and holds up under pressure.
