Job summary

Olema Oncology seeks a Director of Commercial Data Science to lead data-driven decision making across marketing, market access, and sales. Reporting to the SVP, you will shape the roadmap, apply predictive analytics and machine learning, and translate complex datasets into actionable strategy.

Based in Boston or San Francisco with about 20% travel, you will collaborate across functions, build scalable analytics, and communicate insights to senior leadership to drive commercialization and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant work experience with 8+ years in data science/advanced analytics in biotech/pharma.
• Strong understanding of biotech/pharmaceutical market dynamics, patient access, healthcare system intricacies, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives with a data-driven approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to convey complex information clearly to patients and healthcare providers.
• Proven ability to work across functions and lead collaborative initiatives.
• Exceptional organizational skills with experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to develop the roadmap and strategic application of data science.
• Provide data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to support commercialization.
• Develop and maintain advanced analytical models to inform go-to-market strategies and improve market access.
• Analyze large datasets (claims, sales, CRM, marketing) to uncover insights.
• Design and execute experiments and customer behavior analysis to assess effectiveness of commercial strategies.
• Apply ML and statistical modeling to predict trends and sales performance.
• Build predictive models for local sales planning and market opportunity.
• Create visualizations and reports for senior leadership; develop automated reporting solutions.
