Job summary

Net Power Inc. in Houston, TX seeks a Director, Commercial Contracts to manage the contracting process from first drafts to post-execution obligation tracking.

You will work closely with General Counsel, Commercial, Operations, Finance, and Project teams to ensure timely execution and ongoing compliance with contract terms. The role requires extensive experience in energy/commercial agreements, strong drafting skills, and the ability to coordinate across multiple functions in a hybrid on-site

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of professional experience in energy, power, or infrastructure.
• At least four years negotiating and closing commercial agreements.
• Ownership of at least one executed utility-scale power purchase agreement or comparable long-term contract.
• Strong drafting, markup, and redlining skills on commercial terms.
• Willingness to work on-site in Houston, Texas, and travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end contract execution across project agreements, including signature routing and filing.
• Maintain the contract lifecycle management system and repository for all documents.
• Coordinate approval and signature routing across Commercial, Operations, Finance, and Legal.
• Prepare diligence trackers, closing checklists, and signature packages for transactions.
• Monitor and report on obligation compliance, notices, renewals, and milestones.
