Job summary

Moderna Therapeutics is seeking a Director for CMC Digital Operations and Strategic Portfolio Management to own a defined portfolio of digital initiatives. You will translate priorities into 1–2 year roadmaps, drive governance rhythms, and ensure resourcing and measurement align with business value.

You will partner across Digital, CMC, TPM, Finance, Operations, and external partners to enable predictable delivery and manage cross‑functional dependencies and risks.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in digital operations, IT, technical program management, portfolio management, or digital strategy execution in regulated environments.
• Experience owning cross‑functional digital programs or portfolios with senior stakeholders and external partners.
• Strong understanding of portfolio governance, OKRs/KPIs, dependency & risk management, and executive reporting.
• Experience translating business strategy into actionable roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
• Strong financial and operational management skills, including budgeting and capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Own and define the operational delivery of a defined CMC Digital portfolio with 1–2 year roadmaps and OKRs.
• Lead planning and governance rhythms across the portfolio including prioritization and risk reviews.
• Partner with Digital, CMC, TPM, Finance, Ops and external partners to ensure initiatives are sequenced and resourced.
• Drive predictable delivery by addressing blockers and ensuring follow‑through.
• Co‑design the portfolio operating model with intake, prioritization, and runbook standards.
• Build executive dashboards and narratives connecting strategy, risk, and business impact.
• Translate complex roadmaps into clear value stories for senior stakeholders.
• Lead cross‑functional working groups to promote alignment and transparency.
• Manage multi‑vendor delivery models and optimize cost, quality, speed, and risk.
• Track budgets with Finance and ensure alignment to enterprise goals.
