Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a Director of Engineering - Cloud Compute to lead the development of foundational IaaS offerings and accelerate the carbon-reducing, AI-focused cloud platform. You will mentor engineers, guide architecture, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable compute solutions.

You will manage complex initiatives for customers ranging from AI startups to enterprise AI teams, shaping the long-term strategy and driving reliability at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in engineering management and 10+ years in software engineering.
• Deep understanding of compute products (CPU, GPU, ASIC) and customer usage.
• Familiarity with major hypervisors and virtualization technologies.
• Experience with AI/ML workloads and data center compute needs.
• Proven ability to design scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud compute engineering at Crusoe Cloud and define roadmaps.
• Guide architecture decisions, reviews, and implementation tasks.
• Scale the team with onboarding, hiring managers, and processes.
• Incorporate cloud tech trends to keep offerings market-leading.
• Drive hiring and retention strategies for top engineering talent.
