Director Of Clinical Service (DCS) CenterPointe Hospital - St. Charles

Located in the historic Little Hills area along the Missouri River, CenterPointe Hospital serves adolescents, adults, and seniors with behavioral health concerns. With 150 beds and a full continuum of care, we support patients in making sustained health improvements at our serene 20-acre campus in St. Charles, Missouri.

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Ensure quality patient care by developing, implementing, and directing behavioral health treatment programs.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Oversee program operations, including budgeting, marketing, strategic planning, and clinical decision-making.
2. Develop and implement program goals, objectives, staffing, resources, and equipment.
3. Provide leadership and oversight to staff members.

1. Participate as a member of the facility leadership team.
2. Offer clinical consultation, case planning, and care coordination oversight.
3. Manage a limited caseload as needed.
4. Focus services on patients' treatment needs and requests.
5. Lead crisis intervention efforts and respond as necessary.

1. Manage staff hiring, development, training, performance, and communication to ensure effective operations.
2. Regularly review caseloads to optimize service utilization.
3. Provide onsite support for other programs, develop new programs based on market needs, and offer training, consultation, and on-call coverage as required.
4. Create and enforce operating policies and procedures aligned with organizational goals, treatment protocols, and regulatory standards.

1. Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and infection control standards.
2. Maintain a professional, empathetic attitude toward patients and staff, addressing complaints and prioritizing patient safety.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

• Master's degree in Behavioral or Mental Health or a related field required.
• Minimum four years of experience working with the facility's population.
• At least two years of supervisory experience required.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Licensed counselor, social worker, or psychologist preferred or required by state and clinical expertise area.
• Valid driver's license if required by the facility.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training provided upon hire).
• First aid may be required depending on state or facility policies.
