Here's what you can expect as a Director of Clinical Services at DaVita:

The Director, Clinical Services functions as the division’s clinical lead responsible for clinical support, including quality, education, safety and nursing services. Responsible for the implementation of programs to improve patient quality outcomes by providing training, education, project management and support for the clinical teammates within assigned division.

This is a hybrid role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Please note the following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive.

  • Partner with teammates across modalities to impact clinical outcomes and drive positive Quality Index trends within the division; including data collection and reporting as requested to support clinical and operational strategy.
  • Provides oversight of the audit process(s) to ensure regulatory compliance and consistency in approach, including assisting in developing proactive action plans and strategies for addressing deficiencies and ensuring the proper documentation is submitted when required to regulatory agencies
  • Ensures Right Person/Right Attitude/Right Job (RPRARJ) within Clinical Services Specialists, (including specialized roles) and Clinical trainers; this includes, providing coaching and leadership for effective performance.
  • Participates in the divisional operations review process and provides reports with analysis as requested to assist in developing a collaborative and unified team.
  • Develops and conducts educational programs to keep teammates up-to-date on DaVita policies, new laws and regulations impacting work, and other information necessary to maintain teammates’ knowledge of department processes and goals.
  • Promote collaboration between the Clinical Services, Operations and Home teams.
  • Travel: ~50% domestic travel

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing required, Masters preferred
  • Minimum 5-10 years (8 yrs. Preferred) Nephrology Experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ management and/or administrative experience; healthcare management experience preferred
  • Acute care experience
  • Experience managing remote teammates
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ project management and/or project implementation experience
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in commercial insurance plans and benefits (PPO, HMO, POS, EPO, Indemnity) as well as government insurance programs (Medicare, Medicaid)
  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS

  • Required: Current RN license in state of practice required with no Board of Nursing disciplinary actions
  • Preferred: CPR & ANNA certification
