Job summary
Huntington Aligned Medical Group, Inc is seeking a Board Certified Clinical Pathologist to serve as Director of Clinical Laboratory and Blood Banking/Transfusion Services. This full-time position offers leadership in overseeing blood banking services and general laboratory operations at a respected community medical center.
The ideal candidate holds an M.D. or equivalent degree, has relevant board certification, and possesses strong experience or training in transfusion medicine. The role also emphasizes collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- Hold an M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or D.O. degree.
- Be eligible for or already hold an active California State Medical License.
- Be board certified by the American Board of Pathology in Clinical Pathology.
- Possess American Board of Pathology certification in Blood Banking / Transfusion Medicine.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical oversight and call coverage of blood banking and transfusion services.
- Oversee the hospital-based donor center program.
- Lead general laboratory operations for inpatient services.
- Deliver leadership to laboratory staff and manage compliance.
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical lab scientists.
