Job summary

Kite Pharma, based in Santa Monica, CA, seeks a Medical Director to provide clinical oversight for neurology and autoimmune clinical trials, shaping study design and execution with cross-functional teams. Requires an MD/DO with 2–5 years in biopharma or related settings, strong knowledge of GCP, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required.
• Approximately 2 to 5 years of clinical, scientific, and/or drug development experience in biopharma, academia, healthcare, or related settings.
• Working knowledge of clinical trial design, protocol development, safety review, and Good Clinical Practice.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrixed, cross-functional team environment.
• Board certified or board eligible in Neurology.
• Drug development experience in neurology or autoimmune disease is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight and medical monitoring for one or more clinical trials in neurology and/or autoimmune disease.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of clinical studies, including early-phase and POC trials.
• Draft and/or review protocols, investigator brochures, clinical study reports, informed consent forms, safety narratives, and other trial documents.
• Interact with investigators, key opinion leaders, and other external experts to support protocol development and data interpretation.
• Partner with Regulatory Affairs, Safety, Clinical Operations, Biostatistics, and Medical Writing to support study execution and regulatory compliance.
