Job summary

Axios seeks a Director, Client Partnerships to drive revenue through strategic partnerships with advocacy groups, non-profits and policy organizations in Washington, D.C. You will build relationships, represent Axios at events, and identify new opportunities to expand our advocacy footprint.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in digital media sales, established advocacy network ties, outbound selling experience, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in digital media/news sales.
• Established relationships with agencies/advocacy orgs.
• Understanding of DC advocacy landscape and stakeholders.
• Outbound sales experience.
• Knowledge of digital media and Axios landscape.
• Collaborative across teams.
• Willingness to travel for events and networking.
• Growth mindset and continuous learning.
• Experience nurturing inbound leads and existing client relationships.
• Proven track record of meeting targets/quotas.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with advocacy groups, non-profits, policy orgs, and stakeholders.
• Act as a brand ambassador for Axios at events and in the advocacy community.
• Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities to drive revenue and Axios's presence.
• Collaborate with internal teams to execute partnership initiatives.
