Job summary

NOW CFO in Nashville is seeking a Director to lead a portfolio of client engagements and shape the future of our Nashville consulting team. This is a high-visibility finance leadership role that blends client delivery with people development, supported by a PE-backed firm.

You will own relationships with CEOs and investors, scope engagements, mentor consultants, and contribute to business development while balancing billable work with internal leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required or strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience with leadership responsibility.
• 5+ years in a consulting, advisory, or outsourced finance capacity.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of client engagements and maintain primary relationships.
• Scope new engagements, develop staffing plans and proposals.
• Mentor and develop the Nashville consulting team.
• Review deliverables and ensure high-quality client work.
• Split time ~50/50 between billable work and internal leadership.
• Oversee client financial operations including accounting, reporting, forecasting, and planning.
• Partner with senior leadership to drive growth and operational excellence.
• Support business development and client pursuits.
