Job summary

Metropolitan Ministries in Tampa seeks a Senior Director, Children’s Programs to lead therapeutic education and after-school services for homeless children and families. You will supervise the CREATE Early Learning and Out-of-Schooltime programs and ensure high-quality, trauma-informed care across services.

The role requires a Master’s degree and experience in related programs, with a focus on collaboration with community partners and staff development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education, social work, mental health counseling, or related field.
• Experience working in early learning and/or out-of-schooltime programming.
• Must be knowledgeable about homeless issues and trauma; willingness to continue education.
• Director credentials and supervision experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise program service delivery to ensure quality care and licensing compliance.
• Hire, supervise, evaluate, and train staff in CREATE programs.
• Ensure evidence-based techniques meet children's needs.
• Facilitate staff access to external continuing education opportunities.
• Build relationships with colleges, universities, and community partners to enhance service effectiveness.
• Represent CREATE – Early Learning in trainings, meetings, and community events.
• Oversee planning, budget compliance, data collection, and reporting for grants.
