Job summary

Notre Dame de Namur University seeks a Director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) in Belmont, CA. This full-time role reports to the Dean of Student Academic Success and leads an instructional design team to enhance online teaching and course quality.

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in Education or related field.
Experience leading online course design.
Proficiency in Canvas instructional design.
Strong understanding of pedagogical theories and assessment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Direct the instructional design team and provide support and guidance in Canvas course development.
Build and maintain partnerships to promote collaboration and resource sharing.
Develop and implement a comprehensive vision and strategic plan for the CETL.
Design and deliver faculty development programs, workshops, and seminars.
Collaborate with faculty, administrators, and staff to integrate online teaching methods and technologies.
Adopt evidence-based online teaching practices and assessment methods.
Serve as a resource for faculty on online instructional design and educational technology.
Create online program assessments that meet accreditation requirements.
Conduct needs assessments for training new faculty and staff in Canvas.
Select and implement emerging technologies to improve online learning environments.
Other duties as assigned.
