Job summary

Orca Bio is seeking a Director of Case Management to lead the national case management function for our high-precision stem cell therapy, overseeing a team of case managers and ensuring efficient, accurate, and empathetic patient coordination across treatment centers. Travel up to 25% to California Bay Area offices or customer sites.

Responsibilities include staffing and scheduling, daily huddles, cross-functional collaboration, and ongoing SOP improvement.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in patient case management or transplant operations.
• 6+ years in a team lead capacity with scheduling and coaching.
• Industry experience in cell/gene therapy, oncology, or complex therapeutics.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a service-first mindset and escalation management.
• Knowledge of treatment center workflows and chain-of-identity logistics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily case management operations, patient journey monitoring, and SLA adherence.
• Create staffing and scheduling model for order/case management to optimize throughput.
• Lead daily huddles and maintain effective internal communication.
• Foster high-performance, service-oriented team culture and staff development.
• Serve as liaison with field team leaders and coordinate cross-functional information.
• Track KPIs and identify opportunities for optimization.
