Job summary

Our client is a global BioPharma CDMO expanding its Spokane, WA operations. The Director of Capital Project Engineering will lead the capital portfolio, drive governance and program delivery, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective investments.

The role requires senior leadership, deep experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments, and the ability to manage multiple lines of capital projects from planning through commissioning and closeout.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field is required.
• 12+ years of progressive capital project, program, or engineering experience.
• 5+ years in BioPharma/CDMO environments.
• 5+ years of leadership managing a department of engineers/PMs.
• Experience delivering large, complex capital projects with governance and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Lead site capital planning, governance, and budgeting.
• Oversee projects from concept through turnover, with charter, scope, schedule and cost controls.
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, quality, validation, EHS, supply chain, and finance to minimize disruption.
• Develop and mentor project managers and controls resources; drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure cGMP, regulatory and QA compliance across capital initiatives.
