Job summary

BHI Senior Living is seeking a Director of Capital Expansion & Construction Projects in Indianapolis to lead planning, design, and delivery of large capital investments. You will manage teams across design, construction, and external partners, ensuring projects meet objectives, budgets, and schedules.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive construction management experience, and a thorough understanding of building codes, safety, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Architecture, Facilities Management, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in construction, large-scale capital project management, development, or a related field.
• Experience overseeing general contractors and complex construction projects; knowledge of codes, permitting, safety, and cost controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and development of major capital projects (> $2,000,000).
• Oversee selection and performance of general contractors, subs, architects, engineers, and CM/PM stakeholders.
• Review plans, budgets, schedules, bids, and change orders for cost, schedule, and quality issues.
• Provide oversight of contractor performance for contract compliance and safety.
