Job summary

The Skoll Foundation in Washington, DC is seeking a Director, Business Systems & IT Operations to own the business applications and the processes they support, including investment workflows, grantee management, and portfolio reporting. This role sits at the intersection of operations and technology and will drive system design and data governance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced education or training related to the role desired.
• 10–12+ years in business systems, business analysis, or Salesforce-centric roles, bridging business process and technology.
• Hands-on Salesforce administration experience; certification preferred but not required.
• Experience managing Salesforce implementations from scoping to go-live and adoption.
• Ability to map and redesign business processes and translate into system design.
• Experience with data management and governance in a CRM environment.
• Project management across the full delivery lifecycle from scoping to go-live and adoption.
• Strong communication across all levels and ability to translate staff needs into system capabilities.
• Ability to work on-site three days a week in Washington, D.C.
• Locational proximity within fifty miles of the DC office.

Responsibilities

• Map, document, and improve business processes across the foundation, translating staff work into system requirements.
• Own Salesforce as Skoll's core CRM and grants management platform: administration, configuration, user management, reports, dashboards, and data quality.
• Partner with program and operations teams to identify process gaps and opportunities for better design.
• Manage the relationship with our Salesforce development partner: translate needs, review deliverables, and prioritize sprints.
• Own data quality and integrity across business systems; establish standards and monitor compliance.
• Design and maintain data governance practices: naming conventions, field documentation, data entry standards, lifecycle management.
• Lead technology projects from requirements through delivery and adoption; manage timelines and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with the managed services provider for reliable day-to-day end-user support.
